Granary Arts invites you to participate in a hands-on watercolor workshop primarily serving adults age 55+ taught by local artist Kim Gordon.
All skill levels welcome, no prior art experience required. The workshop will introduce participants to the basics of watercolor over the course of four weeks. Techniques, materials, tools, color theory, value, and “seeing” your subject will all be explored. Basic watercolor techniques include, but are not limited to: washes, wet-on-wet, lifting, composition and negative painting. The class is designed to be fun and inspirational with a focus on enjoying the process of painting. At the close of the program, there will be a final exhibition event which will give participants the opportunity to showcase their finished pieces.
