PETER EVERETT / Dark Attractor
February 9 - May 11, 2018
Peter Everett is interested in forms that have an immediate visual power, a physicality and sense of urgency emerging from a place just beyond sight. The forms and patterns he creates are often derived from visual phenomena experienced in the transitional periods between sleep and consciousness, or while in a deep meditative state. Like echoes from a parallel reality, these liminal spaces generate an energy that is familiar and strange, dangerous yet inviting. It is from this elusive locus, situated between stillness and movement, that Everett explores the contradictions of what is seen and unseen.
